LONG TIME NO SEE BABY!

Actually today I will see baby!

Gracie Katherine will be joining us on this Earth sometime later today.

But as of right now, at 5:16 am CST, it's just Natalie and I, me in my lucky Baseball Hall of Fame t-shirt and she in her lucky (and beautiful) hospital gown.

I'd post a picture of the suite where we must stay all day, but I'm too exhausted from spending what seems like the last 23 minutes plugging in all of our equipment. Cellphone...check. Laptop...check.Camera...check. Video Camera.....check.

RIght now, if there is a nationwide brownout, it will be because of us plugging everything.

Not much to do right now except wait for the process to begin with the epidural, etc.....bored.
I should get to work on some college homework.

Think I'll check fantasy football instead.

UPDATE: 6:49 am:

I'm watching Natalie get an epidural right now. OW.....big old needle jabbed in her back. Looks totally unpleasant. But as long as it numbs the pain....not hers.....but mine.

UPDATE: 7:37 am

So disappointed. They do not have Diet Dr. Pepper in the cafeteria. Only Coke Zero. That is unforgivable. I'm going into Route 44 Sonic Diet Dr. Pepper with Diet Cherry Syrup withdrawal.

Other thoughts: Nat's contractions are, in the words of the nurse, "GREAT."

We're predicting a 10:30 arrival. Actually, I think it will about 12:44 pm CST.

UPDATE: 8:49 am

Just hangin' out. Nat is munching on ice chips right now as I'm downloading Halo 3 video clips. Gracie's heartrate went down a little bit so Nat had to use some oxygen and switch sides. But right now everything looks fine.....they seriously predict a 10:45 arrival, but at this point still I'm not optimistic about that. I'm running into lots of people I know....Mrs. Lacen (first name?).....a friend Andra's.....it's a small world.

Natalie is BORED. I don't have a deck of cards like we did with Audrey. I stink.

UPDATE: 10:55 am.

NO baby yet. Everybody's estimation was way off. I fell asleep- Nat's mom and dad are here. I have a book to read for college class tomorrow night......Natalie is SO READY to be done. I took a picture of her so I could put it here, but she threatened me with public and embarassing beating, so I opted out. So instead here is a joke:
