Is there anything more evil that a parent can do to their baby than to take her to see Santa Claus? Think about it. Taking a kid who's already ticked off that you dolled her up in a foo-foo dress and sticking her directly into the face of an EXTREMELY HAIRY man who looks like NOTHING you've ever seen before.....

that doesn't make for a happy baby.

The following picture was taken in between Audrey's howls of terrified horror.

We tried every thing to get her to smile or be calm.....I even took her up there and sat by Santa. That was fine as long as Audrey was looking at me. The second Audrey looked at Santa......

IT WAS DONE!

Merry Christmas!

I'm glad to be going back to work today.

Seriously.

After watching the Chiefs' offensive ineptitude last night, I was just sick to my stomach.

My next post will be my favorite movie moments of all time.

And no, my favorite is not, "Luke, I am your father."

It's a little ditty from a flick called "Jaws."

Hey you all! To help usher in the Christmas Holiday season, here is a really sweet deal I made with my precious daughter as a dancing elf! It is so funny! Thanks to Buddy Derfelt for showing me!

Audrey as an Elf!!!

Another snow day....

This will make four in a row. I'm going stir crazy. On the other hand, I'm getting in more good Audrey time than I've had in a while. And it's good. But I've changed more dirty and wet diapers in the last six days than I had the previous 30.

I'm all caught up on "JERICHO." I've watched THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING and I'm halfway through THE TWO TOWERS, both of them the extended editions. They are my favorite movies of all time now, having replaced Star Wars.

I have no books to read since they're all at the High School, and I'm not gonna drive all that way just for books.

Have a nice night.

Well, after 3 long years, Mother Nature got off her butt and gave us some frickin' snow. Heh heh.

Seriously, aside from watching my beloved Kansas City Chiefs CHOKE today against the stinking, awful, wretched Cleveland Browns, this was the best four day stretch in recent history. 2 snow days spent at home with Natalie and Audrey. It was simply wonderful.

I cooked like crazy- French toast, biscuits and eggs, spaghetti, grilled cheese a la Fletcher, homemade chocolate chip cookies from scratch, mmmmm.......

It was just wonderful. Every morning I'd get up and play with Audrey...feed her breakfast, snuggle with her....greatness! I got to play alittle Tiger Woods golf with Natalie. She is better than me. I hate that!

Friday afternoon we took Audrey outside just so she could see her first snow. It was so bright she would hardly open her eyes. We didn't keep her out very long at all, just long enough for some pictures of her playing with her hands in the snow. But the little toot simply wouldn't let us put her nice mittens on her- I guess she is too much of a free spirit to have her hands restricted in anyway. So instead Natalie distracted her and I put socks on her hands! So look carefully at the photo and you'll see that she is wearing socks.

Saturday I got to go the Mineral Water Bowl and watch Germaine Race become the leading rusher in D2 football history. It was great. Our defense is still dreadful, but at least we have something to look forward to next year with the return of QB Mark Smith and HOPEFULLY an improved defensive line that doesn't resemble hobbits. Wouldn't that be a treat?

My pictures today are first of Audrey and Natalie in the snow. Second is one of my favorites....Audrey, the little darling, does NOT like to be put into her crib for naps during the day. Plus, she has learned how to sit up. So when she cries in the crib, she sits there, wailing her fool head off. But I guess yesterday she fell asleep with Slobbers the Zebra. The funny thing is how she fell asleep sitting in half like that. It kills me every single time I look at it.

I also managed to get most of my college homework done. There are only two class meetings left (this and next Wednesday), and they postponed the huge presentation we have as well. I worked for HOURS on my field experience journal. I bet I wrote about 30 double spaced pages worth of material. It's been since my first MA in History that I've written that much.

So for those of you interested, here is what I want for Christmas this year:

Superman Returns on HD DVD.
Cash for my new digital projector I want.
The Absolute Kingdom Come Hardcover by Alex Ross. That is sheer genius, and it's over 10 years old.

The Ultimate Infinite Crisis hardcover graphic novel.

Oh.....my two favorite football teams could both use some Defensive Tackles who don't suck. Just get those for those teams in my name and we'll all be happy.

See you later!
